I’m not sure how Lem is going to feel having his photo under this title, but nevertheless … here is more photographic evidence as to the sumptuousness of the Cottage Cafe’s breakfast fare:
Looking to go somewhere a bit more central for the next one, so as to appease all those moaners who keep saying it’s too far out the way. Pah! When I were a lad, I used to get up at 3 o’ clock in the morning and jog up to the top of Ben Nevis to get my breakfast. True story.

The next Breakfast Wednesday shall be 12th July, and will be held at the Cottage Cafe on Pitfield Street. It’s easy peasy to find – come out of Old Street tube station, exit 2. Walk straight ahead until you reach the Holiday Inn. Turn left down Pitfield Street, the road just before the Inn. The Cottage Cafe is just a hundred yards or so up the road, on your left. It looks a bit like this:
Being just at the end of my street, and looking so darn fine, it is a travesty that it has not yet been tried. Especially given that their window declares the mouth-watering prospect of “free local delivery” … which is just begging to be tried after a good Friday night sometime!
So .. 12th July, The Cottage Cafe, 7:30am – 9am. Be there!
