Breakfast Wednesday got off to a roaring start, with a binary turnout.  Still, the grub was good.

March (14th): Again, by request, back to Troy Cafe again .. let’s hope they’ve fixed that damn smoke alarm!  Map here

April (11th): Getting sort of Central again, with Muratori.  Map here

Breakfast ’07

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

First Breakfast of the New Year is this Wednesday. Oh hear, all ye who have ears! Verily, it shall be at the Angel Inn, 420 St John Street – or, just around the corner from Angel tube.

Sort of here-ish

Same deal as ever – 7:30am – 9am, drop in whenever you can. Naturally, nobody actually gets there at 7:30am .. 7:45am is probably more likely really.

I recently had a crackingly good breakfast in Ireland. It wasn’t on a Wednesday, but I am going to post some pictures of it anyway, because it was just so damn good. Apparently it is a matter of extreme political importance whether what you get is an “ulster Fry” or an “Irish Fry”. Let it be known that this was an Ulster Fry. Although, as far as I can tell they both have exactly the same contents – 2 x fried soda bread, 2 x potato farl (a sort of pancake made of potato), sausage, bacon, egg. And a full pot of tea. For less than four quid. Proper!
