Trial by fire alarm at Troy once again …

Monday, March 19th, 2007

True to form, the smoke alarm at Troy once again interrupted proceedings. Sadly, they have also increased the price of the Turkish breakfast by 20%, so it’s now £5 instead of £4 .. no longer such good value. However, to make up for these disappointments, turnout was at its best for several months with six hardy Breakfasters, including one attendee who found us on the interweb – yay!

Breakfast at Tory

More breakfast at Troy

Even more Troy breakfasting

Next breakfast is at Muratori – can’t wait for this. It’s always full of posties when I cycle past, which I take to be a stamp of good quality.

Breakfast at Nico’s

Friday, March 9th, 2007

OK, so it’s taken a while to get this report up. But then, since nobody else bothered to come this month I guess that nobody’s really been waiting for this to appear.

Breakfast at Nico's

So .. Nico’s. As far as I can remember, anyway. It was alright, but no great shakes to be honest. On the plus side: HUGE portions! I had no lunch or dinner, and felt quite full till next morning! On the down side: the chips were only half warm, and quite dry – I couldn’t finish them in the end.

Still, life goes on. Next breakfast is at Troy Cafe, next Wednesday. Treat yourself to breakfast, Greek style – see you there!
